Quality Engineering 101 for Digital Agencies: Empowering Exceptional Digital Experiences

Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 12:00 - 1:00pm ET

Quality engineering (QE) is a highly misunderstood term in the digital world. From her years of experience, Shweta has realized that it's not that people don't want to integrate quality in every aspect; rather, their awareness of the topic and how to go about it is extremely poor. This session is a primer on quality engineering for digital agencies so that they can better understand the concepts and drive several related programs to reap the benefits.
You'll look at the evolution of quality engineering, underlying principles, core QE practices, QE lifecycle, and some of the QE metrics to be considered. At the end of this session, you'll have a better fundamental understanding of quality control, quality assurance, and quality engineering. Also, it will get you started thinking about various quality-related aspects of your project.

Shweta Sharma has been contributing to the digital ecosystem for over 16 years now by wearing multiple hats, though she started her journey as a tester in a large organisation. Her quest and hunger for better opportunities led her to work with smaller firms, where she enjoyed working on challenging projects ranging from product-based testing to large-scale web applications. She enjoyed collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to raise the quality of the deliverable in every and any way possible, and she soon gained the reputation of being the glue of the team. Her collaborative attitude, agile mindset, and comprehension of the underlying domain soon paved the way for leadership opportunities. She currently works as the Director of Quality Engineering Services at Axelerant and is ready to deliver quality-oriented digital transformations at a rapid pace.

Her colleagues consider her to be a problem solver, a servant leader, a persistent learner, and an authentic communicator. Off work, she loves hiking with her family on weekends and travelling across the world to witness the diversity in nature, people, and cultures. At home, she enjoys listening to Indian classical music and watching stand-up comedy to uplift her mood.
